On the 27th of July 2020, the Tunisian Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates hosted a farewell dinner for H.E Lotfi Ben Ameur, Consul General of the Tunisian Republic in Dubai & the Northern Emirates.
During the event, we made sure to follow the safety rules with the help of the Habtoor Palace hotel and it was great to organize our first physical meeting since February.
The dinner was exclusive to the TBC members and was an opportunity to network and to listen to his H.E experience during his tenure for the last 5 years.

On the 17th of December 2019, the Tunisian Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates participated to a « Young Professionals Networking Event » held at the Intersect by Lexus restaurant and lounge in the DIFC (@intersectbylexusdubai ).

On this occasion our members had the opportunity to meet and network with their fellow professionals from the following business councils:

– Canadian
– French
– German
– Italian
– Swiss

On the 20th of November 2019, the TBC Dubai & Northern Emirates
organized a « Tunisian Get Together » networking cocktail at Le Pirate The Pointe Palm Jumeirah (LePirate The Pointe).

On the 20th of October 2019, the TBC received Taoufik Baccar, former Minister of Finance and last Governor of the Tunisian Central Bank prior to the 2011 revolution.

During this conference-debate, in conversation with Naoufer Ramoul (TV host and presenter on Dubai TV), Taoufik Baccar gave his views on the economic and financial situation of Tunisia and discussed various topics such as the depreciation of the Tunisian dinar, the relationships with the IMF and the World Bank, the 2020 budget and the foreign exchange reserves, notably.

He also shared his experience at the helm of the Tunisian government and the Central Bank and proposed his recommendations to mitigate the difficulties the country is currently facing.

After the conference-debate, TBC members and guests had the opportunity to network and interact directly with Taoufik Baccar around a buffet.

On Thursday 25th of September 2019, the TBC received one of the titans of Dubai’s business and corporate world, Osman Sultan, who was the guest speaker of our last « Leadership Series » event (in conversation with Naoufer Ramoul, TV host and presenter).
